FIFO EMS is a clinical decision-support reference tool for trained and registered healthcare professionals. It does not constitute medical advice, replace clinical judgement, or substitute for formal training.
- Content does not override local protocols, service SOPs, or medical director direction. Your service's authorised clinical guidelines and standing orders take precedence at all times.
- Clinicians are responsible for verifying the currency of information and applying it within their own scope of practice.
- Always confirm drug doses, indications, contraindications and routes against your service's authorised drug schedule and standing orders before administration.
- FIFO EMS is not intended for use by untrained or unregistered personnel.

§ 02
Content Accuracy & Currency
Content is reviewed periodically but may not reflect the most current guidelines at all times. Clinical guidelines evolve – users must cross-reference with their service's current authorised protocols.
- Drug information is based on Australian references current at time of publication. Always verify against the current Australian Medicines Handbook (AMH), Therapeutic Guidelines, or MIMS before administration.
- Content errors can be reported via [email protected] and will be reviewed by a registered clinician.
- Clinical correction requests are treated as highest priority and reviewed within 72 hours of receipt.

Scope of Practice
FIFO EMS content spans multiple scopes of practice including paramedic, Intensive Care Paramedic (ICP), Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), physiotherapist, occupational health clinician, and Emergency Service Officer (ESO).
- Users are responsible for identifying and applying only content within their own registered scope of practice.
- FIFO EMS does not personalise clinical content to individual registration levels beyond the role-filter system provided within the application.
- Practise within your AHPRA registration, your employer's scope definition, and your service's authorised clinical guidelines at all times.

Regulatory & Legal Notice
FIFO EMS is not a registered medical device under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (Cth). It is classified as a general wellness and clinical reference application and does not require TGA listing.
- Users in regulated health professions remain subject to their AHPRA registration obligations regardless of content accessed within this application.
- Content relating to Western Australian workplace legislation – including the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) and the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 (WA) – is provided for reference only and does not constitute legal advice.
- Users should seek independent legal advice for matters of workplace legal compliance.

Privacy Policy
FIFO EMS does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or patient data.
- All content is stored locally on the user's device. No account, login, or network connection is required to use the application.
- Usage analytics: none collected. No telemetry or behavioural data is gathered.
- No third-party SDKs that collect personal data are included in this application.
- Feedback submitted via the in-app feedback form is sent via the device's native Mail app directly to [email protected]. No data passes through FIFO EMS servers at any point in this process.

- Validated clinical scoring tools (GCS, NEWS2, HEART Score, qSOFA, Ottawa Rules, and others) are reproduced under fair use for educational and clinical reference purposes. Original authorship is attributed on the References page.
- Australian legislative instruments are reproduced under the Creative Commons licence applicable to Commonwealth and WA Government materials.
- Unauthorised reproduction, redistribution or commercial use of FIFO EMS content is prohibited.

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, FIFO EMS and its developers accept no liability for clinical decisions made in reliance on this application.
- Users assume full responsibility for all clinical decisions made during patient care. This application is an aid, not an authority.
- No warranty is given that the application will be error-free, continuously available, or fit for any particular clinical purpose.
- FIFO EMS is provided "as is". Use of this application constitutes acceptance of these terms.
